OCTOBER

Photo Contest - The Colour Orange

Flower Show Categories

1. Fiesta Gardens - A vase of mixed fall flowers

2. St. Barnabas - Thanksgiving design, may include flowers & foliage, real fruit and/or vegetables

3. Garrison Common at Fort York - Octoberfest design

4. St. Lawrence Market -A pumpkin/gourd design

5. Allan Gardens - A potted plant, home grown for at least 3 months

NOVEMBER 

Photo Contest - Botanical Public Garden (identify the location of the garden)

Flower Show Categories

1. Old City Hall Cenotaph - Any Design

2. In Our Nature Gardens - Grasses/seed pods, 3 or more varieties in a vase

3. Sheridan Nurseries - A container garden with at least 3 plants growing in soil

4. Allan Gardens - A potted plant, not previously shown in a monthly show this year

DECEMBER 

Photo Contest - Season of Lights

Flower Show Categories

1. Distillery Christmas Market - A design using flowers and seasonal greens

2. Christmas Bazaar - A design using candles, and/or pine cones, and/or ornaments

As a horticultural group, we ask that you please include some plant life in your photos. The photo must have been taken by a member in the last 12 months, and photos submitted in previous contest are not eligible.

• The email for contest submission will be included in the monthly newsletter.
• Photos contest entries must be taken by a member but can be emailed by a friend/family member on their behalf.
• An email is sent to members with photos for the month along with a deadline to submit votes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 
• All participants earn points toward prizes during the year!
